Cross: It's a sweet moment!

Voltage takes Euro Championship

ROB CROSS admitted he felt like Didier Drogba after winning the European Championship in Germany.

The Hastings star beat Gerwyn Price 11-6 in the final on Sunday night to win £120,000 and seal his third major title on the oche.

But Chelsea fan Voltage revealed it felt as good as his team winning the Champions League in Germany seven years ago.

He said: “That was such a sweet moment for me, I felt like Didier Drogba hitting that winning penalty against Bayern Munich!

“It was a very hard day. It’s the first time I’ve won a final after a quarter and semi-final on the same day. To be fair I felt fresh all night.

“Ricky Evans and Daryl Gurney gave me two really hard matches and I just did enough in the final to beat Gerwyn. He definitely didn’t play the game he can in the final but he had a great tournament.

“I’m very happy to get this brilliant trophy. I wasn’t myself last weekend in Leicester but I was determined to put that behind me and I have.”

Price appeared to be furious with the German fans and blasted afterwards: “I had about 800 other opponents, so well done, fair play.”
