Tyre production for Europe has commenced from the new Toyo Tires Serbian factory. From last month, tyres have been delivered to Europe in increasing numbers. To celebrate this milestone, a European opening event was held at the plant on 5th June.

 
Opened last year, the new Serbia factory has been producing tyres for the US market while it goes through the process of obtaining the correct certifications for Europe. This has all successfully been accomplished and so, last month, tyres began shipping to Europe.

Initially, the new plant is producing two patterns for Europe, the best selling Proxes Comfort and the fast growing all-season tyre, Celsius AS2. These two products alone represent around 30% of all the tyres sold in Europe.

The product assortment for Europe will be expanded with a new winter tyre, due for launch next year and the long awaited Open Country ATIII which features the three peaks mountain symbol (TPMS) making it suitable for all year round use. Other patterns will follow as the factory grows to become the principal supply point for Europe.
