Toyo Tires flagship sports tyre, Proxes Sport 2, has been awarded a "Good' rating in the recent ADAC tyre test. The highly respected German automobile association tested the tyre in size 225/40 R18 because of the large number of fitments for this size including the Alfa Romeo Guiletta, Audi S3, BMW 1 series and Mini Cooper among many models. The ADAC test is notoriously tough and a "Good" recommendation equates to a highly recommended rating according to their own website.

The publication stated that the Proxes Sport 2 stayed stable at the limit because of its high level of grip, going on to say, on wet roads, the Proxes Sport 2 performs clearly well overall. Both its braking distances and its handling are rated as good. The tyre offers good wet grip, and the test vehicle can always be maneuvered safely and precisely.

The ADAC test is now weighted 70% on driving safety and 30% on environmental impact. Proxes Sport 2 scored well in the driving, acheiving a good rating. The environmental rating  was satisfactory partly because the tyres are shipped from Japan. In the environmental category, the ADAC pointed out that the fuel consumption of the Proxes Sport 2 is very good.

The qualities of the Proxes Sport 2 have already been recognised, earning it the Red Dot Design award for innovative products in 2023 as well as being recommended in the Auto Bild Allrad 2024 summer tyre test.
