The UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup is one of the annual highlights in the cycling calendar. The championship is held at various locations in the USA and Europe and thrills cycling fans all over the world.
In the 2021/2022 season several changes have been made: For the first time, the UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup includes 16 rounds - in previous years there were only 9.
With the additional dates more cyclists from different countries can take part and make cycling even more popular. In order to participate riders must be in the top 50 of the UCI Ranking and belong to the first 8 riders of the respective country.
If this is not the case, riders must have received an invitation from the national coach of the country. In addition, the points system has been simplified.
The first race of the 2021/2022 season was held in Waterloo in the USA on 10 October 2021. Further races followed in the USA, Belgium, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and France during autumn and winter.
The Belgian cyclocross rider Eli Iserbyt is currently leading the overall men's standings with 445 points - he has already claimed six World Cup victories this season.
Lucinda Brand from the Netherlands is currently leading the women ranking with 402 points. The final in Hoogerheide is sure to offer cycling at its best again.
Toyo Tires is the main partner of the cycling event and will present its quality tires at the race.
