Installation of a mega solar system at Malaysia tyre factory
Toyo Tires installing a mega solar power plant with an installed capacity of 14.0 MW at its tyre factory in Malaysia, Toyo Tire Malaysia SDN BHD (TTM).

In order to reduce CO2 emissions, TTM will install*2 the largest*1 mega-solar system in the state of Perak, Malaysia on the 96,000-square-meter rooftop space of the factory building. In response to the successful completion of the first half of the construction, a commemorative ceremony was held today with the attendance of Perak Governor Saarani Bin Mohamad, administrative officials, local officials, and business partners. has been held. The system is scheduled to be fully operational in December of this year, and is expected to generate approximately 19,000 MWh of electricity annually, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 12,000 tons per year.
TTM started operations in May 2013. Equipped with high productivity, it functions as a global hub that supplies high-performance tyres with excellent uniformity*3 not only to Southeast Asia, but also to North America, Europe, and Japan.. In addition to solar power generation, TTM will also work on energy saving in the manufacturing process to promote decarbonization in business activities.
